THE RAKUTEN CASH BACK SHOPPING PROGRAM

By participating in the Rakuten Cash Back Credit Card Program (formerly known as the Ebates Cash Back Credit Card Program) or the “Program”, you acknowledge you have previously signed up for Cash Back shopping at Rakuten.com (formerly known as Ebates.com), and that you have read and agree to the Terms and Conditions of the Rakuten Cash Back Shopping Program (the “Rakuten Shopping Terms”). By opening a Rakuten Cash Back Visa® Platinum or Visa Signature® Credit Card (your “Rakuten Credit Card”) account, you agree to the terms and conditions set forth in this Addendum to the Rakuten Shopping Terms. Only the primary cardholder of the Rakuten Credit Card will earn Cash Back.

You will receive three percent (3%) Cash Back on the full amount of any net purchase charged to your Rakuten Credit Card and conducted via Rakuten.com on the primary cardholder’s Rakuten account that qualifies for Cash Back under the Rakuten Shopping Terms, excluding purchases identified from time to time by Ebates Performance Marketing, Inc. (“Rakuten”). You will earn one percent (1%) Cash Back on the full amount of any net purchase charged to your Rakuten Credit Card that does not qualify for 3% Cash Back. If a purchase on your Rakuten Credit Card is comprised of items for which Cash Back is available on Rakuten as well as items for which no Cash Back is available, then you will receive 3% Cash Back only on that portion of your purchase attributable to the items for which Cash Back is available on Rakuten and 1% Cash Back on the remainder. Cash Back is not earned on non-purchase charges on your Rakuten Credit Card, such as interest, cash advances and fees. Rakuten reserves the right to modify the list of exclusions at any time. Cash Back that you earn by using your Rakuten Credit Card is in addition to Cash Back that you earn by shopping through Rakuten, or via In-Store Cash Back offers (valid at participating US stores only and subject to applicable store policies, the Rakuten Shopping Terms, and the Rakuten In-Store Terms and Conditions and Privacy Statement). To earn In-Store Cash Back on your Rakuten Credit Card, you must link the In-Store Cash Back offer to your Rakuten Credit Card connected to your Rakuten account and pay with such Rakuten Credit Card.

All Cash Back that you earn, whether by shopping through Rakuten or by using your Rakuten Credit Card, will be credited to your Rakuten Cash Back account, which you can review by visiting Rakuten.com. Cash Back earned by using your Rakuten Credit Card will be reversed if you return merchandise, obtain a refund or take other action that generally results in the reversal of Cash Back under the Rakuten Shopping Terms. Please note that due to time lags in third party purchase tracking and reporting systems, a purchase may initially be credited 1% Cash Back and later (usually within a few days) be increased to 3% Cash Back. Additionally, if Rakuten does not receive confirmation of a purchase you make using your credit card from a third-party purchase tracking and reporting system, you will only receive 1% Cash Back on that purchase. Please see the Rakuten Shopping Terms regarding how earned Cash Back will be awarded to you. If your Rakuten Credit Card is closed for any reason you will only earn Cash Back through the Rakuten Cash Back Shopping Program and not with your Rakuten Credit Card. Furthermore, if your Rakuten Cash Back Shopping Program account is closed for any reason, you will no longer earn Cash Back with your Rakuten Credit Card. Rakuten reserves the right to cancel, modify, restrict, waive or terminate the Program or any aspects or features of the Program at any time and without prior notice. Rakuten reserves the right to remove anyone from the Program in the event of any fraud or abuse in connection with the Program. This Cash Back program is provided by Rakuten.
